In 2019, Lontra won the Innovation Award at SHAPA’s Solids Handling Industry Awards and our Principal Design Engineer was nominated for ‘Design Engineer of the Decade’ at the British Engineering Excellence Awards. In 2018, CEO Steve Lindsey was on theMaserati Top 100 list for game-changing entrepreneurs in the UK. Also a finalist in the Top 50 Most Ambitious leaders by the LDC and The Telegraph.
Awarded finalist position for ‘Inventor of the Year’ in the European Patent Office Awards 2017 in the SME category. Steve Lindsey was picked from 600,000 patents with only 15 finalists awarded winning titles. Steve was also recently included in the awards campaign ‘Inventors revisited‘, with the opportunity to share Lontra’s next plans on production exports and smart factory expansion in new videos and a podcast.
Listed as ‘Company of the Year’ as part of Innovation 50’s report 2017 of businesses within the Midlands. Winner of ‘Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Great British Entrepreneur 2017 awards.
Steve’s previous accolades include Great British Manufacturing Engineer of the year in 2015 and finalist on The Manufacturer’s 2014 Top 100 list of inspiring individuals in manufacturing.
Our Project Manager Kiran Tailor is a winner on The Manufacturer’s 2016 Top 100 list in manufacturing. Our Principal Design Engineer Jake Wallis won ‘Design Engineer of the Year’ for British Engineering Excellence 2017. Our Senior Design Engineer, David King, and Senior Development Engineer, Carl Godden were both finalists on The Manufacturer’s 2018 Top 100 list for the ‘Unsung Hero’ category.
