Lontra grows its senior team, recently appointing Emrah Gozturk to the role of Commercial Director.

After a selection process involving candidates from some of industry’s largest global corporations, Emrah joins from GEA Group. An organisation with revenues approaching 5bn Euros and over 17000 employees operating in the high-tech automated food, agricultural and industrial equipment sector. At GEA Emrah led the Global Product Group and was responsible for driving B2B sales across its global product portfolio.

Emrah joined GEA Group in 2002 and has worked in number of senior leadership roles across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, promoted to regional MD at just 28, winning the groups internal “rising star award” and having significantly increased sales volume and profitability in every region for which he’s been responsible.

Emrah joins Lontra’s expanding team, assuming responsibility for bringing the company’s new range of Lontra branded machines to a range of global sectors including food and pharmaceutical production, cement production and water treatment.

Lontra’s Blade Compressor® technology, already licensed for use by global engineering group Sulzer, has proven to be more than a fifth more efficient as well as being significantly more reliable than traditional machines. The build of the first factory dedicated to the production of Lontra’s new range of market leading machines is approaching completion by Lontra’s UK partners Shield Group Engineering.

The dedicated, Industry 4.0 enabled, factory will open later this year, complementing Lontra’s existing R&D Technology Centre in the Midlands. Emrah’s extensive international experience will play an important role in further expanding Lontra’s global distribution and ensuring that the same Lontra quality of service is seen wherever Lontra products are purchased.

Steve Lindsey, Lontra’s CEO and founder said: “Emrah has an exceptional track record and will help us stay ahead of Lontra’s commercial strategic developments. He will help introduce the Blade Compressor® to new markets, territories and sectors. We’re delighted to welcome Emrah to our rapidly growing team.”

Emrah Gozturk said: “Lontra’s disruptive technology has the potential to become an industry standard across many sectors. Its very exciting to join a company with such global potential, I plan to help make the company a household name

About the Blade Compressor®

Lontra’s Blade Compressor® is a step change in compressor technology, a completely new and patented geometry for a machine that is at the core of many industries. Its geometry means that it leaks less, uses less energy and is more reliable than traditional machines of this type. A huge win for industry which is dependent on machines of this type, and where the Lontra innovation offers reduced downtime, and lower energy bills.

After a trial with Severn Trent Water where the Blade Compressor® demonstrated a saving in energy consumption of over 21%, Lontra’s first licensee Sulzer has installed machines across Europe where the Blade Compressors significantly improved reliability has become a major selling point. The technology is licensed for production within the municipal and regulated waste water sector to Sulzer, a global engineering group with 21 manufacturing facilities and sales across 150 countries. In parallel Lontra and partners Shield Group are building a significant UK manufacturing facility dedicated to Blade Compressor® production to serve a wide range of global sectors including food and pharmaceutical production.
